Swarovski awards media account to Publicis Media agency Zenith

Swarovski has awarded its global media account to Publicis-owned creative agency Zenith.

The jewellery brand embarked on an agency review in June with the support of Audistar. After a competitive pitch process, Swarovski has decided that Zenith will take over from Havas Media on 1 January 2023.

The Publicis Media firm will manage media across the brand’s 33 markets including the US, UK Europe and Asia-Pacific. Media strategy, planning and buying and performance media will all be key areas for Zenith to focus on.

According to COMvergence data, Swarovski reportedly spends around £114 million ($140 million) on media internationally, including £4.6 million ($5.7 million) in the UK.

Zenith will be required to drive “synergies across brand and performance while elevating the consumer experience to accelerate business growth for Swarovski”.

“We are delighted to partner with Swarovski and look forward to working with them in this new chapter of building growth through their amazing brand, and connecting with the next generation of luxury consumers,” Publicis Groupe chief media officer, Gerry Boyle, said.

The agency appointment comes weeks after Publicis Groupe announced that it had opened a ‘social-first’ creative agency in London called Boomerang UK.
