Omnicom Media Group hires Mediacom’s global head of programmatic

Omnicom Media Group (OMG) has hired Mediacom’s global head of programmatic Clare Ritchie.

Ritchie will become the agency group’s new global senior vice president of programmatic and in-housing.

She will be responsible for leading Omnicom’s programmatic media offering internationally and will be tasked with expanding the way the group interacts with clients who desire in-house media operations.

The new head of programmatic will also oversee a practice group that intends to improve transparency and accountability in programmatic trading. This entails the creation of best practices in DSP and SSP contracts, a programmatic inventory graph and an algorithmic approach to supply path improvement using Omnicom tools.

The company has said that Ritchie’s role highlights the importance of programmatic trading for clients as an increasing amount look to adopt hybrid client-agency working models.
