FCB Inferno appoints new CEO with aim of growing its creative offering

FCB Global has announced the promotion of Katy Wright to CEO of FCB Inferno, the group’s London agency.

In her new role, Wright will work alongside CCO Owen Lee and CSO Ben Jaffé and continue to report to FCB Global CEO Tyler Turnbull to grow the company’s creative offering in London and beyond.

Her previous role as managing director saw her lead key accounts including Zurich, Unite Students, BMW, Valspar and Kimberly-Clark brands Andrex and Kleenex.

Upon joining the London office Wright rose through the ranks eventually becoming head of account management in 2018 and then managing director in 2021.

“For over 15 years, Katy’s infectious energy, deep commitment to her clients and incredible sense of humour have helped shape FCB Inferno into the agency it is today,” FCB Global CEO Tyler Turnbull said.

“As someone who defines our ‘Never Finished’ spirit, Katy has been instrumental in evolving our agency to deliver timely and timeless work for our clients. With Katy being elevated to CEO, I know the future is bright for FCB Inferno.”

The agency won its first-ever ‘Titanium’ award at Cannes Lions earlier this year for its ‘Dyslexic Thinking’ campaign with Virgin Group.

FCB global chair and global CCO Susan Credle added: “Katy is consistently described as compassionate and competitive. Two words that are difficult to hold at the same time. But Katy does.”

“These qualities make her a champion and a leader of world class creativity. She shares the FCB belief that creativity is a beautiful economic multiplier. I cannot wait to watch her continue to positively contribute to our industry as CEO of FCB Inferno.”
