HBO has placed a 3D billboard of a fire-breathing dragon in Times Square to mark the release of the eagerly anticipated drama House of the Dragon.
Passers-by will double-take at the hyper-realistic animation, as the Dragon appears to burn pedestrians below.

The activation works by utilising a curved screen to toy with visual space and create an optical illusion.
Fully integrated promotions for the Game of Thrones sequel can be found all over the UK and US as the world awaits its debut on 21 August.
The ad, created by Michael Hagos and Zachary Krame, is the latest 3D Billboard to take the marketing world by storm.
The hyper-realistic digital campaigns are going viral online, driving organic engagement and creating a conversation around the ads themselves.
“We really feel 3D billboards are the new wave of OOH advertising, especially with the ability to make them go viral on social media,” said Ethan Jakab, cofounder of Blunt Action, the production studio that designed the recent 2 Chainz 3D billboard.
In a time when advertisers are fighting for the attention of consumers, multi-dimensional digital campaigns are expected to continue to gain prominence in modern marketing.
