Snapchat partners with COPA90 for new content proposition

Social media firm Snapchat has partnered with sports media agency COPA90 to deliver a new content partnership tying in with the ongoing 2022 Women’s Euro.

A new show, ‘Goals Talk’ will be hosted on the platform, enabling users to view and interact with content from the tournament alongside interesting stories about the women’s game as a whole via their newsfeeds.

Capitalising on the current wave of popular interest in the women’s game, driven by record-breaking viewing numbers across this year’s Euros – Snapchat’s newsfeed will be positioned as the go-to platform to watch, share and discuss Women’s football.

Goals Talk is set to include behind-the-scenes content from the tournament, in addition to content from the COPA90 creator community an stories about women’s football.

The show is now available every matchday for the duration of the Euros and will feature additional episodes in the run to the Wembley final on 31 July. Weekly shows will continue to be produced from August.

“Our mission is to produce content from diverse and trusted publishers to entertain and inform our community. This partnership aligns with our strategy to establish Snapchat as the home for football shows that are tailor made for mobile.”

COPA90 chief business officer, Simon Joyce added: “We are delighted to be working with Snap once more, this time with a focus on the women’s game which is rightfully huge whilst the tournament takes place.

“We’re looking forward to building on the swell of interest this summer with Snap’s engaged users, and to crucially convert those fans to the women’s game beyond the tournament and into the domestic season.
