Uncommon highlights mental health boost pets provide in latest ManyPets campaign

London-based creative agency Uncommon has created a unique and heartwarming campaign for pet insurance firm ManyPets, highlighting just how important people’s pets can be for their mental health.

Created as part of ManyPets’ ongoing ‘Insure you happiness’ campaign, Uncommon has released a series of near-identical 30-second spots featuring a woman having an emotional conversation with her dog, filmed in the style of a mock therapy session with a different dog featured as therapist in each clip.

Following on from the studio’s earlier out-of-home campaign created for the insurance brand, in which posters laid bare to what extent pets improve our mental and physical health, with research indicating that 96% of wellness instructors felt that their pets made them happier, whilst 88% or trainer said their pets made them more active.

Directed by James Rouse through Biscuit Filmworks, nine alternate versions have been created with the films set to run across audiovisual and social media throughout July and August.

“We wanted to make something that stands out in ad breaks, and connects more emotionally with pet parents,” ManyPets global creative director, Ryan Wheaton said.

The team at Uncommon have cleverly captured each pets’ natural empathy, and brought memorable, adorable humour to our screens.”
