Omnicom-owned Adam and Eve/DDB has introduced a ‘Four&Flex’ model that encourages staff to come into the office four days a week.

The initiative, which also includes a yearly contribution of £1,500 per person for travel costs, will allow employees to choose what day they will work from home and how much time they will spend in the office during a single working day.

The news comes as many other agencies seek to find ways to increase innovation and creativity as a team.

The agency is Britain’s largest creative agency, employing around 500 people who have opted to work in the London office two or three times a week post-pandemic.

Adam & Eve/DDB chief executive Tammy Einav told Campaign Live that she feels connections between staff would be improved and creativity would increase if employees chose to spend more time in the office together.

“Many people join the creative industries because they enjoy working in a team, and the number one thing our people felt they’d lost in the pandemic was connection. They were missing the energy and buzz of the agency,” Einav said.

The ‘Flex’ aspect of the initiative looks to provide staff members with the option of leaving the office early to deal with situations that pop up outside of the office.

“Flexibility is built on the recognition that our lives have ebbs and flows, and different pressure points, and that has to be respected.”

“We recognise the difficulties people are facing at the moment with the cost of living crisis and we know that travel can present a real barrier when thinking of returning to the office, which is why Four&Flex also includes a funded season ticket scheme.”
