International Women’s Day: LinkedIn sponsor UEFA Women’s Euro 2022

LinkedIn has partnered with UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 on International Women’s Day (IWD).

As a result of the partnership, the professional network will promote the tournament and show its support towards the global holiday’s #Breakthebias theme, which aims to highlight the sport’s inspiring female trailblazers who have supported each other on their road to professional success.

The sponsorship also pledges to “make work work for women.”

The platform wants to demonstrate how its community can support women in achieving their goals whatever the industry or profession. It vows to drive content and conversations around women’s “empowerment, leadership, well-being and diversity.”

“The tournament is set to be a landmark event that will provide professional female footballers with a platform to showcase their remarkable talent and achievements”, LinkedIn communications and brand vice president Ngaire Moyes said.

“Off the field, we’re increasingly seeing sports professionals use LinkedIn to share interesting stories and insights into their careers, and we know how powerful they can be to encourage and inspire others.”

UEFA director of marketing Guy-Laurent Epstein added: “This collaboration offers significant opportunities to further promote the competition through their platform and bring it to new audiences.

“We look forward to working together on what is set to be a record-breaking tournament that further grows the women’s game.”
