Digital marketing agency MRM has promoted James Thorley to executive creative director, from group creative director. The promotion is effective immediately.

Thorley has worked in the industry for over 20 years and has experience in both the B2C and B2B sectors. He has worked with clients such as Microsoft, EasyJet, Macmillan Cancer Support and Mitsubishi Electric.

As part of his new role, he will be responsible for leading MRM UK’s creative department, including its conceptual, copy, design and motion graphics teams.

“It’s an exciting time at MRM. We have the talent. We have the craft. And we have the ambition,” he said.

“I’m thrilled to help bring it all together and drive our work to the next level.”

According to the agency, the move underscores the firm’s aim to integrate “creativity with customer experience and CRM” and it follows the recent appointment of Nick Handel as the company’s new CEO.
