Channel 4’s senior exodus has continued this week with both head of commercial innovation and partners, Jonathan Lewis, and client strategy and comms partner, Clare Peters leaving the public broadcaster.

The news follows CMO Zaid Al-Qassab’s departure last month on the same day that the broadcaster announced that it was set to cut up to 250 jobs due to a steep downturn in the broadcast advertising market.

Lewis first joined Channel 4 over a decade ago as head of digital and partnership in 2012. He has been head of commercial innovation and partners since 2022, tasked with driving growth for the TV channel’s commercial business.

Peters joined Channel 4 in April 2020 at the height of the first lockdown as part of a concerted drive to grow direct sales to advertisers. Both report in to chief revenue officer, Verica Djurdjevic.

A spokesperson for the broadcaster told Campaign: “Channel 4 has begun a collective consultation process, which will run into March.

“Our focus is supporting employees through this time of change and keeping communication channels open with our suppliers and partners. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
