Effie Worlwide, a company that champions and evaluates the global marketing industry, has this week appointed Allison Knapp Womack as its new chief operating officer.
Reporting in to global CEO, Traci Alford, Knapp Womack’s responsibilities will include leading and overseeing operations for the New-York-based group’s worldwide programmes including its flagship Effie Awards, developing the firm’s global network and wider impact.
Having amassed over 20 years of marketing and agency experience, Knapp has most recently worked for US housing non-profit Enterprise Community Partners and Omnicom-owned B2B agency Doremus, where she headed up the firm’s flagship New York office.

Knapp Womack has also held a variety of senior roles at a string of global agencies such as Ogilvy, Young & Rubicam and Wunderman.
“With her passion for effective ideas, her track record of delivering growth, and her extensive marketing and agency experience, Allison is ideally suited to lead Effie Worldwide in its efforts to enhance our mission and global leadership position,” Alford said.
