JD Sports has marked the opening of its largest flagship store at the Trafford Centre in Manchester with a giant 3D replica of its duffle bag.

JD Sports marked the opening of its largest flagship store at the Trafford Centre in Manchester with a giant 3D replica of its duffle bag.
The activation, which stands at 4 x 4.5 metres, was created in collaboration with Goodstuff, Talon Outdoor, The Wonderworks and Limited Space.

It was supported by print and digital ads as well as an out-of-home campaign in the Trafford Centre, which reinforces the firm’s “connection” with youth culture.
Jaz Hogben, planning director at Goodstuff said, “We’re incredibly proud to have supported our amazing partners, JD, in celebrating this milestone – and to have helped create something truly standout in media.”

It aims to embody the brand’s ‘Forever Forward’ brand identity.

James Air, director of group acquisitions at JD Sports, said: “This new store at Trafford Centre is a true statement of intent. It’s our biggest, boldest space to date – and it’s happening in the city where our journey began.

“This is JD at its very best: fashion-forward, community-focused, and pushing the boundaries of retail. The official opening of the store was attended by Olympic record breaker Usain Bolt, who challenged fans to beat his speed.
