International rugby team the British & Irish Lions has announced supplement firm Science in Sport as its new official nutrition partner ahead of its tour of Australia.
The move will see the London-based firm provide the Lions players with a range “scientifically-developed” performance nutrition products, including energy gels, protein powders and supplements to optimise performance.
The partnership will lead to Science in Sport working in tandem with Lions coach Andy Farrell to better understand the needs of elite rugby players.

This is one of the most iconic events in global sport and as the team’s Official Nutrition Partner, Science in Sport will play a key role in ensuring the players are correctly fuelled and in optimum condition,” said Dan Lampard, chief operating officer of Science in Sport.

This latest win will serve to bolster the brand’s sporting portfolio, having already collaborated with the likes of Saracens Rugby and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as Aquatics GB, British Cycling, British Rowing, British Triathlon, England Athletic, England Netball and Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby.
