Frazzled, comedian and author Ruby Wax’s charity, has unveiled a new campaign to encourage the public to talk about their mental health.
The activation, created in collaboration with Revolt, asks Brits: “How’s the weather in your head today”?
It comes after research from the charity showed 69% of Brits make small talk about the weather, but 45% never open up about how they feel.
Displayed on Europe’s largest digital ceiling, located above Printworks Manchester, the execution uses VFX effects produced by Flipbook to show different weather conditions meant to convey “frazzled” states of mind.
Matt Roach, creative director at Revolt, said: “Winning the Gold and bringing this to life has certainly been good for my mental health. With the recent proliferation of AI slop, we loved designing these amazing real-life VFX with the wonderful humans at Flipbook. It’s sure to captivate visitors and start lots of vital conversations.”

Visitors will be able to interact with the display via touchscreen and answer the question posed to them by choosing a weather symbol reflecting their mood.
The campaign will run from today until 18 May for Mental Health Week via a two-hour daily window.
Ruby Wax said: “Brits never shut up about the weather. So we start Frazzled sessions by asking, ‘How’s the weather in your head today?’ to ease into those deeper conversations.
“Our ‘Feeling Ceiling’ brings that question to life, in the biggest, boldest way we could imagine. We hope to capture people’s attention and help more people weather their storms with Frazzled.”
The charity’s activation won Ocean Outdoor’s 2024 Digital Creative Competition for the Printworks Skylights category.
