Thatchers Cider shows off its sustainably crafted Juicy Apple cider in a new campaign.
Created in collaboration with animation studio Aardman, the campaign takes viewers behind the scenes of the cider making process.
The 30-second spot will air from 2 May on broadcast video-on-demand, Netflix, Prime and YouTube. This will be supported by outdoor advertising and a consumer-focused social media campaign running throughout the summer.

Martin Thatcher, fourth generation cider maker, said: “It’s wonderful to be working with Aardman again. Being another Southwest company that not only shares our total commitment to perfection, but also renowned for crafting joyful moments, it could really only be them to do this cider justice.”
Devised by Devonshire-based creative communications agency Bray Leino, the campaign combines 2D animation with 3D assets, using optical illusions to tell the story of the ciders creation.
Scott Franklin, Bray Leino creative group head said: “Juicy Apple is very different to Thatchers’ more traditional ciders. And we wanted to tell the story of how it’s made differently by making the key elements in the advert change before the viewers’ eyes.”
“But we’re also seeing a multigenerational, family brand, deeply rooted in craft and tradition, embrace the future, through sustainable technology, new tastes and new audiences. So that idea of change and fluid evolution is really what this ad is all about,” he added.
