Fast food chain Popeyes UK has appointed Jo Vaughton as chief marketing officer.

She has worked in marketing and brand development for over twenty years, having held positions at Pizza Express, InterContinental Hotels Group and Celebrity Cruises.

She will join the company in June, working alongside the brand’s established marketing team.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Popeyes UK as Chief Marketing Officer at such a pivotal time for the business,” she said.

“Popeyes is a fantastic brand that is known and loved internationally, and I’m excited to be part of team Popeyes as the Company delivers against its ambitious growth over the coming years.”

The appointment comes as Popeyes unveiled plans to “double its footprint” in the UK. The company has also launched a partnership with SPP Group to open a string of restaurants across UK travel hubs, including Birmingham International Airport.
