Sportswear brand and retailer Castore has been named England Rugby’s new official ‘Technical Kit Partner’, ahead of the Women’s World Cup later this year.

The move will see the British firm take over as the lead kit sponsor for both the England men’s and women’s rugby union sides, as the nation prepares to host the Women’s World Cup from 22 August to 27 September.

According to both parties, Castore has signed a “multi-year, long-term contract” that will see it deliver all technical playing kit, training and travel wear across all England rugby teams.

“We’re really pleased to be announcing our partnership with Castore, a brand born in the North West of England by entrepreneurs Tom and Phil Beahon. Castore will kit out players and fans alike in our iconic England shirt,” said Bill Sweeney, CEO of Rugby Football Union.
