A number of UK supermarkets are currently undergoing creative review processes.
Tesco is on the hunt for a social media-focused agency to add to its roster and support the growth of its social content and strategy; BBH is the current creative and social incumbent, its remit will not be affected.
Asda has confirmed that Havas London has pulled out of its creative pitch process, leaving AMV BBDO and Lucky Generals to battle it out in the final stages. As the incumbent, Havas will continue to run the account until a new agency is selected.

An Asda spokesperson said: “We’d like to thank Havas for their partnership and support over the years and ongoing as we conclude our agency review to identify our future agency partner for both Asda and George.”
While Morrisons has invited incumbent media agency Wavemaker, to participate in a competitive pitch process alongside Publicis’s Zenith and Dentsu’s iProspect.
It comes after the nationwide grocer reviewed its media buying and planning contract earlier this year, following an assessment of its requirements. Morrisons has not asked any other agencies to take part.
