Holly Ripper has been named CEO of Havas London, following the departure of James Fox in January.

Ripper moves from Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) London where she was managing director, having joined in 2015.

She also worked on Tesco’s mobile proposition and its clothing brand F&F.

In 2022, she was promoted to MD and oversaw business development “with a razor-sharp focus on driving exceptional work and results for clients”, said BBH.

It is understood she will start her new role at Havas London in May, reporting to chairman and group chief creative officer Mark Whelan.

In June 2023, BBH partnered with charity NABS to launch a new training programme aimed at getting more women involved in the advertising industry.

Speaking at the time, Ripper said: “We want to arm women with the skills and tools they need to further their careers and build confidence in their own way. The truth is that within our industry, there are still hurdles that women need to negotiate and there are still inequalities that exist”.
