Mobile gaming firm Supercell has continued to work with celebrity names in its ongoing series of ads, having this time opted to work with TV chef Gordon Ramsey.

Crafted by the Stockholm branch of Uncommon Creative Studio, the campaign will revolve around a tongue-in-cheek 60-second spot in which Ramsey explains that the key to his serenity is Supercell’s ‘Hay Day’ mobile game.

The ad depicts Ramsey struggling with various methods and therapies in a bid to find his ‘inner calm’, before finally ‘taking up farming’ via the brand’s world-building game.

“We’ve always known that Hay Day is a place of relaxation and calm, even for one of the most fiery individuals in entertainment. Meanwhile, we can’t wait for players to meet virtual Gordon Ramsay in our game and have fun building up their own farming utopia,” Hay Day GM, Maya Hofree said.

The clip follows on from Supercell’s last star-studded effort “Squad Up”, released to promote its ‘Squad Busters’ game in May last year, starring Chris Hemsworth and Christina Ricci.

Ramsay himself added: “People will be shocked to see me as a character in such a tranquil game, but that’s exactly the point – Hay Day shows that anyone, no matter who they are, can find a bit of harmony in the chaos.”
