Digital marketing agency Re:act has appointed James Pugh as its new head of social, joining from his head of audiences role at Spotlight Sports Group.
In his new role, Pugh will lead the London-based outfit’s social team, overseeing a varied array of client accounts. He will equally be tasked with driving innovation and improving the quality of the agency’s social media offering.
Reporting into creative business unit director Nick Hart, and co-founder Pamela Uddin, Pugh’s appointment comes off the back of two years of solid growth for Re:act, in which time the firm has doubled in size and integrated its own in-house production services.

“I’m absolutely buzzing to be joining Re:act as head of social and cannot wait to get started. I’m joining the business at an exciting time as it continues on a steep upward curve and through its next phase of growth,” Pugh said.

“I’m massively looking forward to working with my new colleagues and our brilliant clients on some outstanding campaigns and best-in-class digital content.”
In his previous role at Spotlight Sports Group, Pugh was responsible for the Racing Post’s content output and its associated channels and audiences.
Uddin added: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome someone of Jimmy’s calibre to the team. He will be a really important cog in bringing our digital-first content across channels to a whole new level. We’re excited to see the impact that Jimmy will have on our business here at Re:act.”
