Sport technology firm Veo is celebrating the most beautiful goals scored in amateur football by launching a new campaign in support of the 2024-25 People’s Puskas Award.
Developed by the recently-formed agency Wonderful Things, the brand’s campaign will be centred around a 65-second film titled ‘The best goal you never saw’.
Inspired by FIFA’s Puskas Award, which celebrates the very best goals scored across any and all football leagues each year, Veo’s campaign will shine a spotlight on the 40,000 amateur football clubs in the UK.
“This is a campaign for football fans by football fans. So much of the fanfare of football is the professional game but scroll social for two minutes and you’ll see all the talent that’s out there on the amateur pitches – that’s who we care about,” Veo head of brand and comms, Rob Scotland said.

“This campaign reflects those players and celebrates them. It’s real, honest – sometimes very competitive – and always fun.”
Supported by out-of-home activity across London, France, Madrid and Copenhagen, the film showcases how grassroots clubs can use Veo’s portable AI-powered smart cameras to film matches and increase their potential online reach.
Wonderful Things founder, Grace Francis added: “Veo take the best of cutting-edge technology and distribute it across the world of sport to help amateur sports players and their coaches make the most of their game – it doesn’t get cooler than that.”
