EssenceMediacom former joint strategy officer Geoff de Burca has been named as European strategy lead of Amazon cross-channel marketing at WPP Opendoor.
The creative agency set up Opendoor to handle its Amazon account.
De Burca had previously worked at EssenceMediacom for 14 years. He joined the company in 2010 as strategy director before being promoted to managing partner, head of strategy in 2015.

De Burca worked on campaigns for various clients including Coca-Cola, Sky, Cancer Research UK, and Tesco.
Natalie Cummins, chief executive of EssenceMediacom, said: “‘Geoff is moving to a new role in the group and so we wave him off – and cheer him on – with massive sadness but excitement for Geoff.
