Intuit QuickBooks, West Ham United’s official accounting software partner, has launched its first activation since signing a sponsorship deal this summer, with the installation of a giant pie dispenser.
FCB London, the creative agency behind the campaign, has installed a 12-foot high pie and mash dispenser outside the club’s Olympic Stadium in Stratford, serving up a tasty treat for fans.
The oversized vending machine has already distributed hundreds of pies made by local business Tony’s Pie & Mash. Each pie comes with a QR code, offering fans the chance to win a VIP match day experience at the upcoming West Ham United vs Arsenal game on 30 November.
The prize also includes access to financial and business growth advisors, ready to assist small business owners in simplifying their tax management.

“We’re excited to partner with West Ham United to bring our fun take on accounting to life,” said Michael Benjamin, director of marketing at Intuit QuickBooks, “It’s a unique opportunity for West Ham fans who are business owners to see how QuickBooks can help them grow and manage their businesses with ease.”
The campaign aims to address the concerns of small business owners, with 71% believing that taxes are too complex and confusing. By creating an accessible and light-hearted activation, QuickBooks aims to communicate its more serious message – the role of technology in simplifying life for sole traders, micro and small businesses.
“QuickBooks are great at helping small business owners to grow their pie & mash (cash),” said Rob Farren, creative director at FCB London, “so we wanted an idea that lived up to that. In true West Ham style, we went MASSIVE for the occasion and took one of the things fans love the most in the run up to a big game, pies.”
FCB London has also created social media content to support the activation and will be on hand to capture the winners’ VIP, business growth themed hospitality experience at the Arsenal match later this month.
