McCann London’s chief operating officer Jemima Monies has left the business after less than two years, having initially joined from rival Adam&EveDDB towards the end of 2022.
Appointed by CEO and former BBH managing director Polly McMorrow in one of her first big calls upon joining McCann London, Monies took up her position early last year.
Prior to joining the agency, Monies had spent the better part of a decade in a variety of senior leadership roles at Adam&EveDDB, including stints as new business director and deputy managing director, and culminating in chief marketing and operations officer.
On Monies’ departure, McMorrow said: “I am grateful to have had the brilliant Jem in our business for as long as we did.

“She partnered with me to set new standards across the agency: challenging us as every modern, progressive leader should, prioritising creativity at every step, driving momentum internally and externally, and embedding a culture of growth, proven recently with the global Peroni account win.
She added: “She also used to give us free coffee from her side hustle. She will be missed but I can’t wait to see what impact she’ll have in her next venture.”
Before her long spell at Adam&EveDDB, Monies also worked in an editorial capacity with Campaign magazine and spent two years at J. Walter Thompson, now VML.
During Monies’ short tenure at McCann London, the agency was able to secure two highly-prized account wins – picking up Peroni’s lucrative global creative account and joining Sky’s UK agency roster.
