Basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal has been renamed Shaquille O’Deal for Klarna’s upcoming blockbuster Christmas campaign, which will celebrate exclusive festive deals.
The campaign will mark the Swedish fintech firm’s biggest-ever festive push, and will see the former Los Angeles Lakers star feature in a range of films, stills and shopping events to amplify the campaign.
Running across the UK and the US, ‘O’Deal’s’ will run across TV, out-of-home, digital and social media, with the key creative supported by a series of physical shopping activations.
“I’m all about mixing business with fun, and after building several ventures of my own, I know a smart deal when I see one”, O’Neal said.

This latest work isn’t the first time the brand has enlisted a big-name celebrity to add a dose of Tinseltown to its campaigns, having worked with singer and actress Paris Hilton last year.
