M&C Saatchi London chief strategy officer Sophie Lewis has left the business after more than two-and-half-years in post following a ‘leadership reshuffle’.
Announcing the news in a LinkedIn post, Lewis revealed that she had been made redundant in May after close to 30 years of working within the advertising sector.
Her exit follows on from a turbulent few years at the agency, which has been marred by a protracted takeover saga and the departure of its long-time CEO and co-founder Moray MacLennan.

Peffers also went to on stress the importance of remaining “as agile as possible, with the right balance of talent, deployed across the right areas of the group and UK Agency.”
Prior to her time at M&C Saatchi, Lewis had held the CSO role at rival outfits DentsuMcGarryBowen and VMLY&R. Earlier in her career she had also spent time in senior roles at BBH London, AMV BBDO and Iris.
