Saatchi & Saatchi is strengthening its creative department with the appointment of the appointment of award-winning creative duo Elliot Lee and Rory Peyton Jones from rival agency McCann.

Having spent close to six years operating out of McCann’s London offices, the duo is well-known within the industry for a series of highly successful campaigns including ‘The Everyday Tactician’ for Xbox which picked up a Titanium Lion at Cannes.

The pair first met at the School of Communication Arts 2.0 and went on to produce work for a wide range of brands including TSB and Shreddies during their time at McCann.

“It’s impossible to spend time with Rory and Elliot and not get excited and inspired by the ideas, drive and curiosity that seeps out of any room they’re in,” Saatchi & Saatchi chief creative officer, Franki Goodwin said.

“Elliot and Rory share a passion for film and have their own directing side hustle, which is awesome and such an asset to the creative team here at Saatchi & Saatchi, as different forms of creativity bring new perspectives and ideas. As soon as I met them, I knew I had to hire them. They share our ambition to make the absolute best and most influential ideas for the real world, and I can’t wait to see what they do next.”

Lee and Peyton Jones are perhaps best known however for their poignant anti-knife crime campaign video ‘Life Cut Short’, which received a nomination for a UKMVA.

Lee and Peyton Jones added: “We’re thrilled to join Saatchi & Saatchi at such an exciting time. The energy and opportunities here are incredible, and we’ve already hit the ground running on some amazing briefs.

“The agency’s history and work with iconic brands, combined with Franki’s leadership, has got us fired up to challenge ourselves and make fun, impactful, innovative campaigns. It’s great to be on board, and we’re excited to be working with such a creative, passionate and driven team.”
