Leo Burnett strengthens senior team with two creative directors

Leo Burnett UK has bolstered its creative team with the appointment of Kimberley Gill and Bethany Manning as creative directors, who join from VCCP and We Are Social respectively.

Both Gill and Manning will now report into the agency’s chief creative officer, Mark Elwood and will take up their new roles at the global network’s London offices effective immediately.

Having spent over two years in the same role at VCCP, Gill has worked on a range of major brand campaigns including the agency’s flagship Virgin Media O2 account. She had previously spent 14 years at BBH.

“So thrilled to be joining the lovely folks at Leo Burnett. They’ve got creative firepower, an enviable client list (that even my mum’s heard of) and are Campaign’s creative Agency of the Year twice in a row. What a treat! Gill said.

Manning leaves her role as We Are Social’s creative lead having joined in 2021. Prior to her time at the social-focused firm, she had produced work for both Golin and Fold7.

On her appointment, Manning added: “At a time when the team are moving from strength to strength, I couldn’t be more excited to get stuck in at Leo’s.

“Ambitions across the agency are high and I’m looking forward to bringing my digital thinking and social experience to a fresh landscape of clients and creative opportunity.”

Concluding, Elwood commented: “We’re having another strong start to the year creatively at Leo Burnett. Kim and Beth will only make that stronger, they both bring differing skill sets, thinking and experiences to our department, which is always what we’re shopping for. I’m looking forward to working alongside them both.”
