Havas aquires Wilderness to boost social media capabilities

Global advertising group Havas has acquired UK-based social marketing agency Wilderness in a bid to enhance its network’s social media capabilities.

London-based Wilderness will now be integrated into Havas Play with a view to bolstering the group’s social media offering and in turn providing better opportunities for clients to connect with audiences through content and experiences.

The move marks the French firm’s latest strategic step to evolve its operating model in order to help accelerate clients’ transition to become more customer-centric organisations.

Founded in 2015, over the past nine years Wilderness has worked with a range of major entertainment brands, including Sony Pictures, 20th Century, and Universal.
