Fintech firm PayPal has appointed Geoff Seeley as its new chief marketing officer effective immediately. He replaces the outgoing Leanne Sheraton.
Seeley joins from rival payment business Cash App, crossing the Silicon Valley to oversee the global marketing team at PayPal, which will also include its family of brands such as Venmo and Zettle.
Reporting in to EVP and GM of consumer group, global marketing and communications, Diego Scotti, Seeley will take over Sheraton’s role, who leaves the company after close to 11 years.

Prior to Cash App, Seeley had spent over two years as AirBnB’s global head of marketing and had held senior advertising and marketing roles in his native Britain at companies such as Unilever and Ogilvy.
