Online trade directory Checkatrade has appointed St Luke’s as its new lead creative agency following a competitive pitch process initiated towards the end of last year.

Selected after a two-way final shootout, the independent agency will now be responsible for all of Checkatrade’s through the line communications, spanning both Consumer and Trade offerings as well as all brand communications.

The move follows an internal review after the appointment of a new CEO, Jambu Palaniappan, and new CMO Georgina Whalley in September 2023. St Luke’s will start working on the account immediately.

“We’re in an exciting place as a business. Working with an agency like St Luke’s will help us establish our position as the trusted foundation of every home, built on the quality and credibility of our members,” Checkatrade CMO, Georgina Whalley said.

St Luke’s managing director, Ed Palmer added: : “The energy and passion the Checkatrade team have shown throughout the pitch process has been utterly infectious.

“I’m delighted that St Luke’s has passed their rigorous checks, and we can’t wait to get stuck into creating the next chapter in this Great British brand’s story.”
