Rightmove appoints Wavemaker UK to lead media planning and buying

Online real estate firm Rightmove has appointed Wavemaker UK as its new media planning and buying agency at the conclusion of a competitive pitch process.

Part of the WPP family, Wavemaker UK has been enlisted to help drive forward Rightmove’s growth plans as it looks to expand into new areas of operation such as property valuations and mortgages.

With the review process handled by The Aperto Partnership consultancy, the real estate brand decided to cut ties with the incumbent Electric Glue – despite working the agency for the past decade.

“We were looking for a partner to help drive the next phase of our growth plans, as we continue to grow our core business and expand into new areas,” Rightmove CMO, Matt Bushby said.

Founded in 2000 and listed on the stock exchange in 2006, the property listings site has since grown into the UK’s largest online real estate  portal.
