Isobel poaches new social media head from Grayling

London-based creative agency Isobel has appointed Clara Burns as its new social media director. She will take up her new role effective immediately.

Burns joins the indie firm from global comms business Grayling where she spent over three years in various roles, culminating in senior account director.

Prior to this, Burns had also spent three years at US PR consultancy Edelman, joining as an assistant account executive and leaving as a senior digital executive.

“We are thrilled to welcome Clara to Isobel. She doesn’t just have extensive social knowledge and experience, she’s also a brilliant communicator and will be a huge asset for our clients,” Isobel account partner, Sarah Humphreys said.

She joins Isobel alongside recently-hired strategy director, James Appleby and social creative and TikTok content specialist, Adil Rahman. This latest hire marks a period of sustained growth for the agency, which recently secured the pureplay social pitch for Landsec’s Retail Outlets.

Burns herself added: “I’m thrilled to have joined Isobel as social media director. My role is to build on the existing strengths of the social & digital offering and champion this vital part of the service we provide for clients, at every stage of a relationship or campaign.

“What really excites me is the open & close relationships Isobel have with their clients, and the huge potential for growth. It’s also the friendliest agency I’ve ever encountered!”.
