VCCP expands Creator Team to tap into snowballing market

Creative agency VCCP London is looking to grow its in-house creator proposition with the expansion of its Creator Team with three new additions.

The team will offer clients specialist support and deliver authentic, creative content by shining a spotlight on the role of the creator. The creator economy has experienced significant growth of late and now encompasses more than 50 million people around the world.

Fronted by two social creative directors, David Feldman and Milan Desai, formerly of TikTok and Expedia, the team will now include Lucy Cooper and Becky Harrison who will take on new roles as VCCP Creators.

“We want to create authentic engagement between brands and their audiences and to ensure that they remain part of the conversation around key cultural moments,” VCCP head of social and innovation Alex Dalman said.

“To do this we’re building our team of specialists who can develop high quality content natively on a quick turnaround, to create those genuine interactions, rather than shoehorning brands into spaces without adding anything of value. This is a real opportunity for our clients to access this expertise and to push the boundaries of what has traditionally been done with brand engagement.”

They will be joined by the newly-hired Matt Nicholas, a former UK Young Cannes Lions winner, as a senior creator. The Creator Team will now consist of ten in-house creators in total – with a network numbering up to 5 million external creators.

A new, creator-specific studio has also been set up by the agency, which will enable clients to create agile, innovative and engaging varieties of social content.
