UK Finance says ‘Reach Out’ with £5m mortgage campaign amid national crisis

Banking and finance trade association UK Finance is encouraging worried mortgage customers to reach out and access the help that is available to them.

Created by London agency M&C Saatchi, ‘Reach Out’ will be spearheaded by a 30-second spot that highlights the support that mortgage lenders can customers who are worried about high repayment costs.

The ad launch comes after an initial campaign burst in late July across out-of-home, print, radio and digital channels and will be accompanied by new out-of-home and digital activations.

“We know that mortgage borrowers, particularly those coming off a fixed rate deal, may be worried about higher monthly repayments,” UK Finance campaigns director Giles Mason said.

“That’s why we want to ensure people know that their lender is ready to help. We’re delighted to be launching this new TV advert with the simple message of reach out if you need support.”

With media planning and buying handled by Goodstuff, the ad is set to a newly recorded version of the famous Four Tops track “Reach Out (I’ll Be There)”.

M&C Saatchi creative partner Guy Bradbury added: “Many people across the UK are finding it financially difficult right now. In this warm and hopeful campaign we wanted to let people know that their bank is there to help and no matter how bad things get, all they have to do is reach out.”
