Creative agency Wunderman Thompson is strengthening its social media and influencer offering with the expansion of subsidiary Village Marketing and the appointment of Beth Carroll as head of social.
Have acquired Village Marketing in North America last year, the firm is now set to expand its EMEA presence via Wunderman Thompson’s London hub; an industry leader in influencer marketing and creator economy partnerships, Village already works with major brands such as Nike, Netflix and Soul Cycle.
The agency is set to launch an all-new transformative approach to social media, focused on driving human-to-human connections by combining agency’s paid, organic, editorial content and production capabilities with influencer management, data analytics and commerce.
Carroll will be responsible for heading up this new approach after joining from her role as head of social at Iris. Reporting in to UK CEO, Pip Hulbert, Carroll will will lead a 170-plus multi-discipline team of planners, creators, editors, technologists and influencers across the EMEA region.
