Tag Heuer celebrates its eighth consecutive year as Marathon timekeeper

Tag Heuer will continue its role as the official timekeeper of the TCS London Marathon this year, celebrating its eighth consecutive year as the event’s time sponsor.

The watch brand hopes to ensure that all participants are connected as they ‘strive for greatness’ in the TCS London Marathon on 23 April.

While event times will be provided by Tag Heuer, all runners who complete the famous 26.2 mile run will also be able to share their own ‘finish line selfie’ and will receive a text message congratulating them on the course time.

As for the elite races, the winners will be presented with a Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 watch in recognition of their ‘determination, passion and excellence’. The likes of Kenenisa Bekele (ETH), Kelvin Kiptum (KEN), Birhanu Legese (ETH) and Mosinet Geremew (ETH) are all set to take part in the event.

“We are delighted to continue to partner with the TCS London Marathon, a city where TAG Heuer has a strong community, and to keep all runners connected across a race that embodies the spirit of the brand. I look forward to awarding the winning athletes our pioneering Connected watch, and to seeing so many runners undertake the challenge,” Tag Heuer UK & Ireland managing director, Rob Diver, said.
