M&C Saatchi’s CEO, Camilla Kemp has announced that she will be leaving the agency at the end March after three years at the helm, in order to “focus on [her] family”.

Having been appointed to the role in 2020 following the agency’s merger with Lida, Kemp had led M&C Saatchi alongside chief creative officer Ben Golik who left at the end of last year.

Kemp’s association with the firm is extensive, having initially joined as business director in 2010 before being made managing partner in 2013.

Going from strength to strength, she subsequently took on the role of chief operating officer in 2015 and was swiftly promoted to group managing director of M&C Saatchi UK Group barely more than a year later.

“I love this agency and know how lucky I am to have worked with some of the best in the business – clients, colleagues and my team. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved together in the last few years and will be cheering them all on from the sidelines,” Kemp said.

“This is a hugely personal decision, but I’m looking forward to focusing on my family and navigating my way around my new full-time bosses – my four-year-old and six-year-old.”

In her time at the London agency, Kemp has overseen work for numerous high-profile clients, notably several NHS England campaigns that have helped people with finding earlier cancer diagnoses; and works aimed at alleviating the ongoing A&E crisis. The agency will now be searching for a replacement over the coming months.

M&C Saatchi worldwide CEO, Moray MacLennan added that the firm was “indebted” to Kemp, citing her competent navigation of the COVID pandemic and work on diversity and inclusion.

He continued: “Her decision to leave in order to focus on her family reflects the strength and clarity of thinking that has characterised her time with us.”
