Specsavers has appointed Neil Hollins as its new UK board trading director as the brand looks to restructure its marketing team.
Hollins – who moves from the company’s Northern European region – will have accountability for the UK marketing operations and be responsible for the strategic and creative development of the work the brand is known for.
Before joining Specsavers, Hollins worked for Dixons Carphone where he reportedly played a ‘critical’ role in the transformation of the Dixon’s business. He was also a part of the team that oversaw the merger with Carphone Warehouse. He ended his tenure as chief marketing officer.
As part of the company-wide restructure, Chris Carter, previously marketing and eCommerce director (UK, Ireland and Spain) will leave UK marketing and move to a group strategy role. He will be replaced by Victoria Clarke who has been promoted to marketing services director. Peter Wright will also remain group chief marketing officer overseeing the group-wide marketing framework.
