The Campaign Against Antisemitism action group has launched its first-ever UK-wide out-of-home campaign after recently released Home Office figures suggested that Jews were 500% more likely to suffer hate crimes than any other faith group.
Designed to build public support for Britain’s Jewish community in the run-up to Holocaust Memorial Day on 27 January, out-of-home spaces in nine cities across the UK will feature striking portraits of British Jews.

Using prime media space donated by out-of-home specialist Ocean Outdoor, the portraits will run in key, high-footfall locations throughout major urban centres including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow for the next two weeks.

“People are utterly appalled when we tell them quite how much Jews are targeted by hate crime. The UK is a fundamentally decent and tolerant place, and one of the best countries in the world to live as a Jew, but we still suffer racism and attacks every day simply because we are Jewish,” Campaign Against Antisemitism CEO, Gideon Falter said.
“Jews make up barely 0.5% of the national population and the solidarity of good people who are willing to stand up to hatred and #StandWithJews means a great deal to our community and shows the racists that they cannot win.”
Developed in collaboration with Manchester agency One Day, the campaign will feature prominent social media CTAs, asking the public to stand with Britain’s Jews by using the #StandWithJews hashtag. Jews themselves will be able to share their own experiences of antisemitism with the #BecauseImJewish hashtag.
