Wunderman Thompson has launched the 2022 Helen Lansdowne Resor scholarship in collaboration with the 4A’s Foundation in a bid to amplify the voices of creative women and non-binary individuals.

The scholarship is named after Helen Lansdowne Resor, the agency and the industry’s first female copywriter.

Winners of the scholarship will be awarded $10,000 and will have the opportunity to work in a paid internship with the agency’s creative teams. The intention is to ensure that female and non-binary people are given a platform to learn what it takes to successfully embark on a career at Wunderman Thompson and in the advertising industry.

“As an agency, we want to continue to amplify the voices of creative women and non-binary individuals by giving them support, mentorship, and the opportunity to thrive in a widely male-dominated field,” Wunderman Thompson global chief inclusion, equity and diversity officer, Ezinne Okoro, said.

“Our hope is to uplift this generation and create a more diverse, equitable, and truly inclusive future for our industry.”
