Virgin Radio touts Chris Evans’ and Graham Norton’s star power in latest TV ad

Virgin Radio has released a new tongue-in-cheek spot to promote its star presenters Chris Evans and Graham Norton.

Presenting the Weekday Breakfast and Weekend shows respectively, the station pulled off a major coup in poaching both stars from BBC Radio 2’s flagship shows, with Evans joining in 2019 and Norton following soon after in 2021.




“Anyone who views this ad should be in no doubt that Chris Evans and Graham Norton are only on Virgin Radio,” News Broadcasting head of marketing, Will Martin said.

“This campaign aims to sing and shout about that fact in a fun and light-hearted way with the two legendary presenters at the heart of it.”

Created by New’s UK in-house agency Pulse Creative – a WPP-backed collaboration between The&Partnership, m/SIX, and Wunderman Thompson, the 40-second spot forms part of an integrated campaign that is set to include targeted ads across Sky Adsmart.

Pulse Creative executive creative director, Russell Ramsay added: “It’s entertaining, it’s upbeat, it’s Chris and Graham to a tee – and it’ll leave no-one in any doubt that the only place they can be heard is on Virgin Radio.”
