Former McCann Worldgroup president Mark Lund joins the Mission Group board

Creative agency collective the Mission Group has today announced that former McCann Worldgroup president, Mark Lund has joined its board as a non-executive director and deputy chair.

Lund brings decades of high-level leadership experience to the role, having previously worked as the CEO of government agency the Central Office of Information, and managing partner of Now Advertising.

“Joining The Mision Group is an exciting prospect – the Group has some terrific talent and great potential and I look forward to working with them to deliver growth for our Clients and the Group.

“The media and advertising landscape is highly dynamic and I want to help The Mission Group innovate and evolve to take advantage of this constant change.”

In addition to Lund’s appointment, the collective has released its latest trading update, announcing strong revenue performance and encouraging profitable growth in the first half of 2022.

Recent business wins for the Mission Group include major international firms such as Disney +, Molson Coors and Taiwanese tech firm Phihong.

Commenting on his firm’s results, Mission Group chair, Julian Hanson-Smith added: “This resilient performance builds on the momentum achieved in 2021.

“Our agencies in every geography have continued to build on opportunities available to them, supported by MISSION’s strong balance sheet which underpins our long-term growth plans.

Concluding, he said: “The economic uncertainties provide challenge and opportunity in equal measure, with Clients expecting total commitment and smart thinking from their agencies. MISSION is well placed to provide these qualities.”
