American athleisure brand Champion has launched a new global brand campaign, ‘Be Your Own’ which will serve as an ode to one of modern clothing’s seminal innovations, the hoodie.

First brought out by Champion itself in the 1930s, the hoodie has gone on to become a cultural icon, cementing itself as a part of daily life across the globe.

New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) has gone so far as to recognise the hoodie as ‘as one of the 111 items that shaped the history of fashion’.

In this latest campaign, created by Chicago-based creative agency Energy BBDO, creative assets are focused on promoting three tried and tested Champion classics: the ‘Reverse Weave’, the ‘Classic Fleece’, and the ‘Powerblend Fleece’.
