Samsung has imagined how Renaissance painter Leonardo da Vinci may have used the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold4 in the brand’s latest ad.
The ‘Art of Multitasking’ ad follows the creation of the infamous Vitruvian Man painting but with the help of Samsung’s recently released fold-able smartphones.
Set to Queen’s iconic hit ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’, viewers are shown how elements of the painting may have been inspired by features of the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Fold4. Da Vinci is even seen using one of the smartphones to take a picture of a delivery man holding a rectangular frame.
Thankfully, audiences are assured by on-screen text that the actor depicted is ‘(not the real) Leonardo da Vinci’.

“What really sets the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 apart from every other phone on the market is their standout performance with multitasking and a versatile photography experience with FlexCam, respectively,” Samsung Electronics MX business vice-president of global brand marketing, Sonia Chang, said.
“We knew we needed launch spots for each that exemplifies these remarkable features in a relatable way.”
The ad was created by Ogilvy New York in association with production firm Caviar Films.
Ogilvy New York executive creative director, Carlos Perez, added: “These devices are truly innovative and first-of-their-kind. But we didn’t just want to make demo films.”
“We wanted to make work that could bring some much-needed storytelling and humor into a category that tends to be cold and too product-centric. The new Samsung foldable devices are fun, playful and inspiring, so we wanted the work to reflect that.”
