Birds Eye releases sustainable swimwear range

Frozen food brand Birds Eye has released a limited-edition sustainable swimwear range in time for the summer holidays.

Birds Eye’s sustainably-sourced, unisex ‘All Aboard-Shorts’ have been given a ‘stylishly subtle nautical design’ with ‘simple sophistication’.

Made from 100% recycled plastic recovered from the sea, two designs have been created – with the first pair evoking the ‘mysteries of the ocean depths’ with its dark navy blue colour and red piping trim, whilst the second pair represents ‘shallower waters’ with a light blue colour carrying ‘vivid undertones’.

Created in partnership with Birds Eye’s ethical clothing partner, Bluebuck, the brand will be organising a give-away for fans to win a pair of the shorts via its TikTok page.

“The Captain has been busy at his helm over the last few months contemplating “what does the UK public really need this summer?,” Birds Eye Fish marketing manager, Mike Sowerby said.

“And what better idea than taking a trip down to the beach to create and model his own ‘All Aboard-Shorts’.

“Of course, they’re made from recycled plastic (recovered from the sea) and we hope we’ve provided fans with a truly special summer accessory to wear in the glorious sunshine.

“The shorts have been made in partnership with ethical clothing producer, Bluebuck. Its fabric is GRS-certified so the material used for the All Aboard-Shorts is 100% made from upcycled marine plastic waste.”
