WPP-backed creative agency The&Partnership has created a series of ads to promote The Times and The Sunday Times‘ exclusive editorial coverage of The Platinum Jubilee.

The campaign, which directs readers towards the publication’s coverage of the weekend, includes a collection of rare photographs throughout the monarch’s reign in which ‘the Queen past meets the Queen present’.

After an ‘extensive’ archive search from The&Partnership, royal scenes were created to depict Her Majesty from across the decades.

In one scene, Elizabeth’s newly crowned, younger self shakes hands with a 96 year old Queen. Similarly, a second and third photograph displays a ‘family’ of Queens, aged 25-96, waving from the royal jet and the royal balcony.

“Our extensive coverage of the Queen’s reign and the Platinum Jubilee celebrations will be second to none and this visually stunning campaign complements it brilliantly,” The Times and The Sunday Times marketing director, Louise Agran, said.

The campaign will run across social, digital, radio and press channels until the end of the first week of June.

The&Partnership and Pulse Creative executive creative director, Russell Ramsey, added: “The challenge was to bring to life the coverage in a unique way in what will be a crowded market of Jubilee activity.”
