Kraken Rum opens Soho pop-up

To celebrate its first foray into the flavoured rum market, Kraken Rum is opening a pop-up gallery where guests will be invited to drink the artwork on show.

The Kraken Roast Coffee will open on 28 May on Greek Street in Soho, with a daytime viewing open to the public from 12-6pm, followed by a private, ticketed opening party from 7-11pm.

The gallery will showcase bespoke Kraken artworks, designed by comic artist, Brian Williamson. Only 100 limited edition ‘drinkable prints’ will be made available, the prints have been humorously dubbed ‘Espresso Artinis’.

At the event, guests will be given a coin which they can then exchange for an ‘Espresso Artini’ and two cocktails of their choice featuring The Kraken Roast Coffee rum.

A daytime class will also be available for visitors who wish to learn the art of designing coffee prints, with coffee artist Ben Lewis. On offer after the lesson will be a free Kraken Cocktail.

A competition will also be held at the event, offering guests the chance to win a bespoke Espresso Artini kit, which includes all the necessary elements to recreate a Kraken cocktail from home.

After London, the pop-up activation will move north to Head of Steam in Birmingham from 8 June, before moving on to Call Lane Social in Leeds on 9 June.
