Publicis subsidiary Starcom has appointed Emma Morris as its new head of investment, promoting her from her previous role as managing partner, overseeing investment for the agency’s dedicated Samsung team.
Morris will replace the outgoing John Heather, who has been promoted to head of trading at PMX, Publicis Media’s trading and investment practice earlier this year.
Initially recruited as a TV planner and buyer in 2002, Morris has accrued close to 20 years’ experience with Starcom, gradually rising up to become an integral member of the senior management team.
She has held various senior positions in her time at the company, including client investment director and head of AV. Morris began her career at ITV and later worked at Mediacom before joining Starcom.
In her new role, Morris will be responsible for all media investment on behalf of all the agency’s clients in the UK, overseeing a team of 80 people.

“Emma has done a brilliant job over the past 20 years leading the One Publicis Team Samsung’s investment team, so this couldn’t be more thoroughly deserved,” Bignell said.
Her wealth of experience across all areas of media buying and unwavering enthusiasm to deliver for clients make her a huge asset to both the agency and the PMX leadership team.”
Morris added: “The team in Starcom has some of the best in the industry, so I feel really honoured to step into this new role and am excited about what’s ahead.
“I also can’t wait to work even more closely with Steve and the rest of the PMX team to deliver even more meaningful results for our clients.”
